Cistus oil

The first references to the use of cistus for medicinal purposes date back to the 4th century BC. At that time, it was common practice to use the particularly effective medicinal plants for religious rituals, such as funerals. And so it is not surprising that rock rose pollen was found about 40 years ago on the Shroud of Turin - the cloth in which Jesus was wrapped when he died.
